Journey with a princess as she escapes into her imagination...

We are in a restaurant. The table is prepared. The waitress welcomes us. The table is set to tell her tale, not a fairy tale but a princess’s tale.

This is the story of a modern day princess left to her own devices in urban Britain. Hers is a kingdom where famine and unemployment have devastated an entire landscape, and where you are better off in a gang than alone!

Inspired by the ancient fairy tale Briar Rose, Colette Garrigan transports us across the boundaries of tradition to the unexpected.

Garrigan’s charismatic performance crackles with dark and sassy energy. It is deliciously disturbing and uniquely unsettling.

Sleeping Beauty is shadows, objects and inventiveness at its best!

“This classic fairy tale is visited with a modern day eye and a very personal one at that!! Majestic!!!”
