A global project towards world puppet domination.
Imagine a million puppets in one big space… sock, hand, rod, finger, junk, glove, shadow, marionettes, and movable creations never seen before!
On April 6th 2008 this dream will become a reality when the Perth Concert Hall comes alive with puppets from across the globe for the ‘World’s Largest Puppet Display’!
Cross the foyers and enter the belly of the Perth Concert Hall bursting with puppets sent from across Australia and around the world. Woven grass puppets made in the most isolated regions of Western Australia, hand puppets from South Africa, a chickpea witch from Canada and uncanny creations from France are just some of the puppets on display.
The Million Puppet Exhibition aims to touch young and old with the magic of puppetry. We want you, your family and your community to be involved in this global phenomenon!
The puppet count has been rising since March 2007 and won’t stop until the record-breaking count on Carnival Day. Don’t miss out on being involved in this momentous world first. Send puppets to us before March 21st 2008!
The Million Puppet Exhibition is an initiative of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and is supported by Lotterywest.
REMEMBER! Sun 6th at 3:30pm on Carnival Day is the Million Puppet Project Official Guinness World Record Count
