Discover the beauty and intricacy of micro-wildlife in document|monument – an exhibition by Australian artist Walter Stahl.
The images in this exhibition are arrangements of feathers, seeds, dead insects and bones found in Greater Brisbane. As a collection they unite scientific, pantheist and creationist factions of Walter’s personal inner ecology.
By emphasising the lyrical and surreal aspect of micro-wildlife, these images attempt to draw attention to the overlooked participants of civilization, and fellow members of our ecosystem.
