Want to experience Australia’s outback? Then go no further than the Perth Concert Hall.

On Carnival Day, the Perth Concert Hall will transform into a surreal garden of Aussie delights filled with visual metaphors, large scale roving animals and landforms unique to Western Australia.

Wander through a canvas reminiscent of a surreal Western Australian painting. Glide with creations that are part bird – part ship. Jump with a giant kangaroo made from old corrugated iron and farm machinery, and ride with tinkers on boab tree bicycles through the terrace.

Unusual and simply beautiful, these mythical concoctions will take you on a journey of discovery and transport you into a fantastical Australian landscape.

A Garden of Aussie Delights is an interactive puppetry experience commissioned for UNIMA 2008 by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and ArtsWA, and brought to you by Swerve, a Western Australian artist collective.
