A beer-stained story about the grief of having your heart and passion stolen.

In a twisted suburban fable of loss and redemption we find a miniature cabaret where lovers and drag queens sell their souls for the ultimate life of affection.

Precious stories of love, sadness and dreams haunt the stage. Silent conversations are told through layered images of shadow puppetry, marionettes, object theatre and Bunraku puppets.

Featuring the bizarre and melodramatic music of acclaimed UK cabaret gypsy-trio The Tiger Lillies, Apples and Ladders will draw you in and keep you in suspense from start to finish.

Remarkable and sinister, this performance sparks with supernatural energy.

Bittersweet puppetry for adults!

“The dark, yet beautiful images of Apples and Ladders stay with you long after the show finishes. Puppeteers and creators Sarah Kriegler and Jacob Williams impart their tiny protégé with pure emotion to create moments that grab your heart.”
