Spare Parts Puppet Theatre Inc - UNIMA 2008 (SPPT – UNIMA 2008) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information held about its customers.

To protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

1. COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

SPPT – UNIMA 2008 collect your personal information for a number of different reasons. For example, SPPT – UNIMA 2008 may need to notify you in the case of changes in performance dates or times, to send information about upcoming UNIMA 2008 performances and also for market research purposes. At any time you can inform us if you do not want your information used for direct marketing or research purposes.

2. DISCLOSURE AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS AND THIRD PARTY ORGANISATIONS

SPPT – UNIMA 2008 will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties any personal information obtained from you unless you consent. However, SPPT – UNIMA 2008 may disclose personal information about you in some circumstances including where contractors and service providers help us operate our business or provide a service such as:

  • A company which helps us to operate our computer systems
  • Contractors who assist us to send out our mail
  • Circumstances where the individual would reasonably expect personal information to be disclosed (for example, if those third parties are directly involved in the collaboration of a UNIMA 2008 production for which the personal information was collected).
  • If SPPT – UNIMA 2008 provides your personal information to promoters, or engages contractors and service providers to handle personal information, we require these organisations or individuals to agree to comply with our Privacy Policy and with strict conditions governing how personal information is to be handled. Otherwise, SPPT – UNIMA 2008 will only disclose personal information if this is required by law or permitted under the Privacy Act.

3. DIRECT MARKETING

SPPT – UNIMA 2008 will send direct marketing material to you in situations where:

  • The direct marketing material is directly related to the primary purpose that the information was originally collected. For example a Festival Explorer who has purchased a UNIMA Festival Explorer Package may receive information in the mail about events.
  • If you no longer wish to receive promotional information from SPPT – UNIMA 2008, please advise our General Manager on the contact details listed in clause six.

You will need to allow us 30 days to amend our records.

4. ONLINE BOOKINGS / COOKIES

SPPT – UNIMA 2008 will use personal information collected online to provide you with our services, to contact you in the case of an event cancellation, and if you agree, for UNIMA 2008 marketing purposes.

A cookie is a small data file that may be placed on the computer of a web user the first time a computer visits a web site that operates cookies. Cookies are necessary to facilitate online transactions and ensure security. If you do not wish to receive any cookies you may set your browser to refuse cookies. This may mean you will not be able to take full advantage of UNIMA 2008 services. SPPT – UNIMA 2008 do not use cookies to keep personal profiles of its customers' use of the UNIMA 2008 website.

Sometimes our website contains links to third party websites, for your convenience and information. When you access a non-UNIMA 2008 website, please understand that SPPT – UNIMA 2008 is not responsible for the privacy practices of that site. 5. CHANGES TO THE SPPT - UNIMA 2008 PRIVACY POLICY

SPPT – UNIMA 2008 reserve the right to change its Privacy Policy at any time and notify its customers by posting an updated version of the policy on its website.
